One of Rick's specialties is environmental portraiture (outdoor portraits). The best light of the day for environmental portraiture is in the evening until just after sunset. Most of the senior images shown on this website were created during Eveninglight sessions which begin at 5:30 or 6:00 pm and last approximately three hours. The entire evening is given to one senior. The Eveninglight session includes photography in as many as six outfits and ten to twelve different scenes. Typically, sixty or more spectacular images are created. With only one evening, and one sunset per day, sessions tend to book up early.
Rick gladly welcomes seniors and their parents who schedule an appointment just to come in to see his very unique work.
Before coming to the portrait session, you'll receive a confirmation letter, "Very Important Stuff". It is designed to help you know how to prepare, what to expect and what to bring to the session. The letter also contains lots of suggestions for things like clothes and hair. GOOD STUFF! Feel free to call if there are any questions.

When you come for your pre-session visit, we will discuss your ideas and preferences. You'll see lots of portraits from some of Rick's past seniors so that you can get a feeling for some of the possibilities. Then we'lll will talk about clothing and decide which outfits go best with the scenes you like. When you come on your session day, everything will go more smoothly and YOU will have a lot of fun.
